T-23 days
Hi little guy. It looks like you're room is starting to come together. Your mom just got you a bunch of shelves and your furniture is on the way tmrw at 7AM. We've also started to get book from friends to fill in the shelving.

Shanu's First Days: T-3 Weeks
Shanu. We're still 3 weeks from officially meeting... but you are first in the thoughts of many people. Your Mom and Dad especially.
I'd like to use this as a forum to communicate to you into distant future to show you how and why your Dad and Mom approached your first days. Ironically, though the next few days/months/years are going to be the highlight of our adult lives, you're not going to remember a thing - trust me. That seems kind of unfair. So hopefully, this blog can serve as a bridge between your earliest, most formative days and your actual memories of early childhood. Plus this way you'll get to meet your folks as the eager but befuddled parents we are today and maybe when you get to where we are in a few decades you can draw from our experiences.
So here we go. Looking forward to seeing you, son.
